Yoga
Children of all ages love our yoga sessions held each Monday. Children learn about physical activity, turn taking and participation whilst having lots of fun.
Swimming Lessons
We help our 3-5 year olds become confident little swimmers with regular lessons at the Commonwealth Pool each Tuesday.
Step It Up Dance
Every Thursday our 2-5 year old’s can take part in Step It Up Dance sessions. These classes are a fun and relaxed way to encourage physical movement and confidence.

Enjoy-a-Ball
The Enjoy-a-Ball program develops sports-specific skills and confidence across numerous ball sports in a positive and fun environment.
Cooking Classes with Chef
Our children have opportunities to work with our Nursery Chef through weekly cooking and baking activities.
Tuttie Footie
We offer Tuttie Footie physical play sessions which are based on the use of footballing skills and relate to all aspects of the EYFS.

Settling In Sessions
Our nursery offers settling in sessions. Parents can bring their child for a couple of hours first, gradually introducing the child to a new environment. Settling in sessions are aimed at helping your child to adapt to their new surroundings and become more familiar with the staff and other children.
Eco Schools
Eco Schools is the largest sustainable schools programme in the world and is designed to encourage action on sustainable development education issues. We love getting involved in Eco Schools projects and learning about how to protect the environment. We are working towards our Green Flag.
Bi-Lingual Staff
We are lucky to have bi-lingual staff who are able to support children in their first language, or in exploring new languages. This helps children settle well into nursery and provides opportunity to celebrate children's cultures and heritage. We currently have staff fluent in Polish .

Community Outings
Our nursery enjoys great ties with our local community and we are often out and about visiting local sights and getting involved in events. We enjoy visits to the local parks, have good community links with the local nursing home, supermarkets, soft play and pet shop.
Christmas Shows
We celebrate Christmas by putting on a wonderful Christmas show for friends and family each year. There's always much excitement in preparing for the show as we learn songs and organise our special dress ups.
Nursery Animals
Taking care of animals provides children with a great sense of responsibility and opportunities to asses risk whilst developing empathy and social skills. We are currently looking after a golden fish.

Nursery Uniform
We offer a nursery uniform for preschoolers, helping to make the weekday routine a little simpler for busy families.
Graduation
We celebrate the big move to primary school with a special graduation ceremony each year—caps, gowns, the works!
Delivery Acceptance
We accept your courier deliveries to make things that little bit easier for busy mums and dads.

Fundraising
Taking part in fundraising activities helps children learn about others that are less fortunate than themselves and understand how to help. Our fundraising events are good fun and are a great way to bring families and communities together. We are currently fundraising for Greenpeace, Sick Kids, Uganda, WWF, HOOP Scotland, Diane Fossey Gorilla Foundation. All of the money raised were spent to adopt new animals.
Parent Communication
In recognition that education begins in the home, we are fully committed to a partnership approach with parents. Parents are kept up to date with monthly newsletters, parent focus groups and parent’s evenings. Parents are also able to keep up to date with activities going on in the nursery by following our social media accounts: Strawberry Hill Facebook, Twitter and Bertram Instagram.
Special Festivals
Our nursery encourages children to celebrate festivals throughout the year. This is one of the best ways for children to learn about different religions and cultures.
